Employability expectations in the video games industry

This report explores issues around employment expectations of those wishing to enter the video games industry and those recruiting and employing in the sector, focusing on three key areas: the education and talent pipeline; skills gaps and shortages; and the higher education/ industry relationship. It draws on an analysis of national careers websites for the four UK nations, semi-structured interviews with 11 individuals working in video game related roles, including in higher education institutions and games companies, and focus groups with 10 current students and recent graduates on video-game related degree programmes.
