The Screen Industries Growth Network (SIGN), sister project XR Stories, and industry partner, XPLOR, welcomed more than 50 people to an in-person event at Production Park near Wakefield to demystify virtual production and delve into the creative and business opportunities this technology offers the screen industries of the region.
‘Introduction to Virtual Production’ offered attendees from across the screen industry sectors – TV and film, games, arts/culture and live events – an opportunity to examine and discuss the tools used in virtual production. The event included hands-on demonstrations, panel discussions on the potential of virtual production, and networking and knowledge sharing.
At the event, XR Stories and the SIGN premiered a new film highlighting virtual production in the Yorkshire and the Humber region, introducing the companies investing in this new technology and the organisations in the region supporting the growth of these new technologies. Watch the full film.
